This privacy notice covers the Kittl TikTok Extension and supplements Kittl's main Privacy Policy at kittl.com/privacy. Both apply in full; this notice describes only what is specific to the TikTok integration.
The TikTok Extension uses the TikTok Content Posting API to let you send images and videos from your Kittl designs to your TikTok inbox, where you finish and post them in the TikTok app. It requests the "user.info.basic" and "video.upload" permissions: the first is TikTok's basic sign-in permission, the second lets Kittl send videos and photos to your TikTok inbox. Kittl is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by TikTok or its affiliates. TikTok is a trademark of TikTok or its affiliates.
When you connect TikTok, Kittl stores only the OAuth credentials (an access token and a refresh token) needed to call the TikTok API on your behalf. The extension does not read your TikTok videos, posts, followers or other TikTok content, and we do not store any TikTok content on Kittl servers.
When you send designs from Kittl to TikTok, each design you pick is exported as a video (MP4) or an image (JPEG) and sent to TikTok via its API, without a caption or other text. A video is streamed through Kittl's servers directly to TikTok and is not stored by Kittl. Because TikTok fetches images from a public address rather than accepting an upload, an exported image is first stored in your Kittl workspace, and the copy served to TikTok may be cached by our content delivery network for up to 5 minutes. The content arrives in your TikTok inbox, where you can add a sound and a caption and decide whether to post it. Once posted, that content is governed by TikTok's terms; you can edit or remove the resulting post in your TikTok account.
Kittl receives operational data back from TikTok in connection with sending, for example the publish id, its processing status and any error messages, which we use to operate the integration.
Kittl does not access or process the personal data of people who follow you or interact with your posts, including their names, comments or messages. That data stays between you and TikTok under TikTok's privacy practices.
When you disconnect the integration or uninstall the extension in Kittl, Kittl deletes the credentials from its production systems (subject to the limited log and backup retention noted in the main Privacy Policy). You can also remove Kittl from the apps connected to your TikTok account in TikTok's settings, which makes the credentials Kittl holds stop working. Kittl does not resell or redistribute TikTok content or TikTok-derived data to any third party. TikTok content remains subject to TikTok's Terms of Service.
