This privacy notice covers the Kittl Google Drive Extension and supplements Kittl's main Privacy Policy at kittl.com/privacy. Both apply in full; this notice describes only what is specific to the Google Drive integration.
The Google Drive Extension uses the Google Drive API to let you browse and import images from your Google Drive into Kittl, including files shared with you, starred files and shared drives, and to save designs from Kittl to a folder you choose in your Google Drive. It requests the "drive" permission, because browsing and searching your existing folders and files and saving into a folder you pick are not possible with a narrower permission. It also reads the email address of your Google Account to show which account is connected. Kittl is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Google LLC. Google Drive is a trademark of Google LLC.
When you connect Google Drive, Kittl stores only the OAuth credentials (an access token and a refresh token) needed to call the Google Drive API on your behalf. We do not cache your files, folders, file metadata, or other Google Drive content on Kittl servers; they are fetched from the Google Drive API on demand when needed to provide the integration. File previews in the panel are loaded by your browser directly from Google's servers, so Google receives your IP address and standard browser information for those requests, just as when you visit any website. When you add an image to a design, your browser downloads it from Google Drive and uploads it to your Kittl workspace. Anything you choose to import into a Kittl design is governed by the imported-content terms in our main Privacy Policy.
When you save a design from Kittl to Google Drive, the exported file (PNG, JPEG, SVG or PDF) and its file name are sent to Google Drive via its API and saved in the folder you choose. Once saved, that content is governed by Google's terms; you can edit or remove the resulting file in your Google Drive.
Kittl receives operational data back from Google in connection with saving, for example whether the upload succeeded and any error message, which we use to operate the integration.
Kittl's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Kittl does not resell or redistribute Google Drive content or Google Drive-derived data to any third party.
When you disconnect the integration or uninstall the extension in Kittl, Kittl deletes the credentials from its production systems (subject to the limited log and backup retention noted in the main Privacy Policy). You can also remove Kittl's access at any time in your Google Account under Security, then Third-party apps and services, which makes the credentials Kittl holds stop working. Google Drive content remains subject to Google's Terms of Service.
